two LA workshops

VOICE OVER INTENSIVE

One Day Voice Over Intensive for folks who have always thought about Voice Over but have never taken the leap! If you know someone who keeps saying "I'd like to do voice-over" or if you have thought that yourself OR if you are doing VO but feel stuck - not booking - this one day class is a chance to play - tune up your approach to copy and your reads.

Sunday February 25th - 10am to 4pm
$150 (includes lunch & copies of your work)
at
Treefall Studios
3131 Cahuenga Blvd.
West Los Angeles, CA 90068

This one day workshop puts you in the studio with tons of copy and a working professional who wants you to find your strengths, your range, YOUR voice. If you are new to voice-over, you will learn mic techniques and get a feel for what's it like being in the booth. If you are not so new but not booking, here's a chance to really play and learn another way to approach copy and your reads.

We will work on commercial scripts that include announcer spots, dialogue, character stuff and those pesky tag lines! And we'll play with a bit of animation. There will be a 1/2 hour break for lunch that I will provide so all you need to bring is writing material for taking notes, questions you might have about VO and a willingness to play while working hard.

Mari is a William Morris talent and has been a working voice actor for over 17 years. She’s done hundreds of commercials you've heard including Blue Cross, the voice of Hometown Buffet and the latest McDonalds campaign. Her promo work includes ABC and the Oxygen network. Animation credits includes Happy Feet, HBO’s Crashbox, Duckman and many others.

“I started booking in VO when I really starting using MY voice – my point of view, my personality – not what I THOUGHT a voice over should sound like. Once I found that I could play and stretch freely, tapping the endless resources of crazy voices in my head for financial gain!" M. Weiss

Class size is only 10 students so secure a spot now.
A $75 deposit is needed by February 20th.
