march is here - let the dreaming begin

Well, Daily Creators, I really blew it for February in terms of keeping up with my blog. I guess in stating a goal that I wanted to "fill the well" I brought a tremendous amount of new projects into my life. February was a month of lots and lots of new beginnings, new collaborations, new people and new connections.

Good for the future, these new beginnings - but they made my present day more than a little insane which means the blog took a back seat. As you can tell, I've still been posting opportunities here but I haven't had the ability to create new material for our daily exercises.

With that said, it looks like March is going to be just as hectic so I'm going to cheat a bit. I'm going to post exercises I created last year BEFORE I had my blog. These were exercises that were sent by email to a select group of women writers around the country so not everyone checking out this blog has seen them yet.

For those of you who have, I apologize. But maybe taking yourself through a second round of dreaming exercises will lead to a deeper level of understanding and connection with the subconscious.

We’re going to focus on DREAMING. Our dreams are the way our subconscious talks to us, guides us and creates. Let’s learn to use our sleeping time as creative renewal.

“A dream is a theatre in which the dreamer HERSELF is the scene, the player, the prompter, the producer, the author, the public and the critic.” – Carl Jung

TODAY’S CREATIVITY CHALLENGE:

Look at your bedroom. Is there anything you can change that will make your sleeping environment more conducive for dreaming? Is there clutter?

Observe your pre-sleep pattern tonight. Are you reading before bed? Watching a loud movie? Bombarded by TV and then trying to sleep?

Think about the changes you might like to make. Make them.
