ABINGDON THEATRE COMPANY
presents
THE CHRISTOPHER BRIAN WOLK AWARD
Deadline 6-1-2007
Christopher Brian Wolk was a talented and creative actor, musician, singer, writer and composer who died accidentally in Glacier National Park, Montana. To honor his memory, Abingdon Theatre Company and the Wolk family have created the Christopher Brian Wolk Award.
In the Company's ongoing effort to recognize excellence in playwriting, a sum of $1,000 is presented annually to a writer of a new, full-length American play. From the hundreds of plays submitted each year, nine finalists are chosen. The nine plays are then carefully reviewed by a panel of judges, who select the winning script. This is yet another way in which Abingdon supports theatrical work, while honoring the memory of a great actor and true friend.
