Okay, so you've got your "problem letter" all written and you've either handed it off to someone else or you haven't looked at it for a day. Now it's time to write the "solution letter" in response.
DAILY CREATIVITY EXERCISE:
Write 10 helpful statements on slips of paper. The statements should be directive, one sentence and can be as specific or vague as you care to be. They can be sincere or they can be cheeky. Don't censor yourself
A fun way to do this is to pick any self-help book and pull sentences randomly. You should feel free to use any of these as well:
Sleep on it.
Take a good look at yourself in the mirror.
Pick the path of least resistance.
Go ahead and wallow in your pity.
The early bird may catch the worm, but who wants to eat worms?
I suggest you pray for forgiveness.
Take the slips of paper with the solutions written on them, fold them over, throw them in a bowl or a hat and shake them up.
Randomly pull two slips. Don't look at them yet. Reread your problem letter now.
Using the two "solutions" give yourself 10 minutes to write the response letter. You must use both solutions and you must write for the full 10 minutes. Make references back to the original letter, give examples of how your solution would work, be as specific or sincere as you care to be.
CHECK IN TOMORROW TO SEE PART THREE OF THIS EXERCISE.
