SM STAFF REPORT RECOMMENDS THE CITY COUNCIL REJECT THE FAA'S LATEST OFFER
"It is the Staff's recommendation that if the FAA Proposal remains unchanged after the study session that it be rejected as inadequate to provide a meaningful safety enhancement to the runway. It is further recommended that the City Council direct Staff to explore the implementation of effective safety enhancements for the Airport and report back at the City Council session on Sept. 25, 2007 with a recommendation detailing an appropriate course of action."
